On Ground Office Rentals & Sales — Montana, Wyoming & North Dakota

On-ground offices are storage containers converted into finished workspace — no wheels, no axles, no trailer siding. They sit directly on the ground and look and feel far more permanent than a trailer, while still being fully removable when your project wraps up.

Mobile-Stor builds on-ground offices from the ground up in our Billings shop: insulated, painted, climate-controlled, wired, and finished with vinyl plank flooring. We deliver and set them on a level pad at your site — ready to work in from day one.

Ground-Level Offices

A Converted Container — Not a Trailer

On-ground offices are purpose-built from steel shipping containers. Without wheels or trailer chassis beneath them, they sit flush with the ground — giving your crew a more settled, professional workspace that stays put for as long as you need it.

No Wheels. No Axles.

On-ground offices have no trailer running gear beneath them. They're set on a level pad and stay put — giving your site a more permanent, professional presence.

Built in Billings

Every unit is converted in our own shop. We frame, insulate, wire, paint, and finish each office before it leaves the yard.

Climate Controlled

Wall-mounted HVAC keeps the interior comfortable in Montana winters and summer heat. Power hookup required on-site.

Long-Term Job Sites

Ideal for oilfield camps, mining operations, construction headquarters, and any project that runs for months at a time.

On-Ground Office Questions

What's the difference between an on-ground office and a mobile office trailer?

On-ground offices are modular units set directly on the ground — no wheels, no axles. They look and feel more like a permanent building. Mobile office trailers have wheels and can be towed to a new location with a truck. If you need something that stays put and looks built-in, an on-ground unit is the better fit.

What sizes do on-ground offices come in?

We offer on-ground offices from 8×20 ft (160 sq ft) up to 12×60 ft (720 sq ft). The 12×60 is our most popular size for construction sites and oilfield camps that need a full working office setup.

Do on-ground offices require a foundation or site prep?

Generally no. We set the unit on blocks or pads and level it on-site. We'll let you know if your specific location needs anything extra — most properties are ready to go as-is.

Can on-ground offices be modified with HVAC, electrical, or interior finish?

Yes. Units can be set up with heating, air conditioning, insulation, electrical panels, and interior finishes depending on what you need. Tell us your requirements when you request a quote and we'll spec it accordingly.

How long does delivery and setup take?

Most deliveries are scheduled within a few business days of confirming your order. Setup on-site is typically completed the same day as delivery. We'll give you a specific timeline based on your location and unit size.
